/R E P E A T -- Twenty public personalities to compete for worthy causes in a
Casino de Montréal poker tournament on October 17/
MONTREAL, Oct. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - The Casino de Montréal will be the proud host of a private poker tournament for 20 public personalities during which more than $25,000 will be distributed to a number of Québec non-profit organizations. The October 17th benefit will be emceed by none other than actress Sophie Bourgeois and sports analyst Dominic Fugère.
Each participating personality will represent a cause they hold dear and put their skills to the test to try and win a seat at the final tournament table. Only the best players will succeed in earning funds for their non-profit organization.
Among the poker buffs of the event will be Guy A. Lepage and Bruno Landry (Fondation du Dr Julien), Anik Jean (Fondation André Dédé Fortin), Jean-Nicolas Verreault (Leucan), Jean-Thomas Jobin (Fondation des Gouverneurs de l'espoir), Peter Miller (Leukemia & Lymphoma Society), Marc Dupré (Le Club des petits déjeuners du Québec), Nanette Workman (Centre de répit Philou) and Jonathan Duhamel and Pascal Lefrançois, major winners in the World Series of Poker.
The media is invited to attend the arrival of the 20 personalities at the Casino de Montréal, starting at 11:45 a.m. The tournament is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. This event demonstrates the Casino de Montréal's commitment to community involvement.
