TORONTO, June 11, 2014 /CNW/ - Unifor's national and Ontario leaders will be available Thursday night and Friday to comment on the results of Thursday's Ontario election.
"This is a critical election for Ontario's future, and voters have clear choices before them about the kind of province they want," said Unifor National President Jerry Dias
Dias will be available to comment on the results of the vote on election night and the next day, while Ontario Regional Director Katha Fortier will be available for interviews on Friday, June 13.
Dias, who began his involvement with the labour movement while working at the de Havilland Aircraft plant (now Bombardier Aerospace) in Toronto, was elected National President of Unifor at its founding convention last September.
Fortier, a Registered Practical Nurse from Northern Ontario, was also elected last September.

Unifor is Canada's largest union in the private sector, representing more than 305,000 workers. It was formed Labour Day weekend 2013 when the Canadian Auto Workers and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers union merged.
