CHALK RIVER, ON, Aug. 25 /CNW/ - The following video is available by Video On-Demand web download:
STORY SUMMARY: In accordance with Atomic Energy of Canada Limited's (AECL) commitment to providing regular communications updates on the status of the National Research Universal (NRU) reactor, AECL releases the following video highlighting medical isotope production and distribution activities.
Video:
In this video, AECL's Richard Cote, Vice President of the Isotope Business, and Marc Robillard, Acting Director, Medical Isotopes, use excellent visuals to provide a comprehensive look at the process involved in producing medical isotopes at NRU. Mr. Cote and Mr. Robillard explain how the isotopes have a short shelf life, making the production and distribution of the isotope to our customer extremely time sensitive. They also describe how the Chalk River Laboratories are part of a larger global logistical team of experts delivering medical isotopes to the world each and every day.
