TORONTO, Dec. 2 /CNW/ - The following B-Roll is available by Video On-Demand web download:
STORY SUMMARY: Rick Hansen and the team from his Foundation and the Rick Hansen Institute continued their international tour of Middle Eastern countries Jordan and Israel early December 2010, celebrating 25 years of progress made in those countries in the areas of accessibility, inclusivity and spinal cord injury (SCI) research. Rick had an opportunity to visit the Memorial of Moses Monastery at Mount Nebo in Madaba, near Amman, Jordan before crossing the Allenby bridge, almost 25 years to the date he originally crossed the bridge as part of his historic Man in Motion World tour. Rick re-visited the memorial of long-time friend and fellow Canadian icon Terry Fox, located in the centre of Jerusalem. Finding a cure for SCI came one step closer thanks to an international collaboration between the Institute of Medical Research Israel Canada and the Rick Hansen Spinal Cord Injury Registry. Two Israelis, Lieutenant-Colonel Yuval Wagner and Professor Aharon Lev-Tov, were formally recognized by Rick Hansen for their contributions to accessibility and SCI research, respectively.
