MONTREAL, March 2, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Parc Jean-Drapeau will be a very inviting spot this weekend as the Week-ends gourmands event fills the place with all sorts of alluring aromas. Visitors will be able to taste an assortment of savoury home-grown products at this event organized by the professional group Métiers & Traditions. And the Parc will also have an appeal of its own with nice snow and 10 winter activities for everyone's enjoyment.
"Winter is continuing at Parc Jean-Drapeau every weekend until March 11," said Société du parc Jean-Drapeau spokesperson Nathalie Lessard. "Along with enjoying the usual activities, people of all ages can take advantage of the first weekend of the school break to come and meet more than 20 Québec producers who will be on hand to share their passion and their products. This includes maple products, chocolates, ice ciders, terrines and pâtés."
Meanwhile, there is still time to visit the magnificent Snow Village and have fun engaging in the wide range of winter activities offered by the Parc: tube sliding, dogsled and horse-drawn sleighrides, introduction to downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and much more.
Parc Jean-Drapeau is situated just a few minutes from downtown Montréal and is easy to get to by subway or car. Before leaving for the Parc, people are invited to go to the parcjeandrapeau.com website to see the latest updates on the weekend's activities.
