MONTRÉAL, Sept. 3, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Several Montréal municipal facilities will be open on Labour Day, while others will be operating on specific schedules or closed.
Most municipal offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th, including borough and Accès Montréal offices as well as local points of service.
Pickup services: garbage, recyclables and bulky items
Most pickups will be held according to regular schedules, except for the bulky item pickup which is cancelled in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.
Ecocentres
All ecocentres will follow the regular summer schedule and will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information please visit the Environment section on the city's Website: www.ville.montreal.qc.ca.
Sports and cultural facilities
Arenas, swimming pools, sports and recreation centres, libraries as well as cultural centre schedules will vary according to boroughs. Residents are asked to contact personnel at these facilities to check on days and times of operation.
The Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard and the outdoor tennis courts will be closed on Monday, September 7. Information: 514 872-6900.
Space for Life
The Insectarium and Botanical Garden will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Biodôme will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Other facilities
The Montréal municipal court (775, rue Gosford), as well as the points of service will be closed.

Parking
Parking pay stations and meters stay operational on Labour Day, and motorists must obey parking signs.
