WHAT: | Holiday Drive Public Food Sorts |
Almost six hundred volunteers on December 26 and 27 will be sorting and packing food donations from the Holiday Drive at Daily Bread Food Bank.
With only 500,000 pounds of food donated so far, Daily Bread is looking to raise 500,000 pounds more or an additional $200,000 to purchase food and reach the Holiday Drive goal of a million pounds. Daily Bread's original financial goal was $1.5 million, but is now $1.7 million if food donations continue to be low. Donations during the Holiday Drive will help keep Daily Bread shelves stocked and food going out to those who need it for the next few winter months.
Note: Daily Bread is fully booked for public sorting. No volunteers are required.
