MONTREAL, Oct. 30, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Today, Randstad Canada announces the launch of Randstad With Heart, a web-based platform that allows its employees to create or find volunteer opportunities and log their eight hours of company-sponsored volunteer time for a charity of their choice. The program has been launched globally in 38 countries, enabling more than 38,000 Randstad employees worldwide.
"Randstad Canada has a deep-rooted sense of corporate social responsibility and a long tradition of supporting volunteer work by employees. Randstad With Heart will provide even more opportunities to our staff to support causes that are close to their hearts and will give more visibility to the impact that our employees have on their communities," says Marc-Étienne Julien, CEO, Randstad Canada.
Randstad With Heart is supported by the insights of Randstad's quarterly Workmonitor report[1], which showed that 65% of workers feel it is important to make a contribution to society by doing voluntary work. A majority of Canadians (71%) say they are willing to do voluntary work, if employers would offer paid time off.
