OTTAWA, Feb. 16, 2017 /CNW/ - The Association des enseignantes et des enseignants franco-ontariens (AEFO) announces its members just ratified the central table agreement. AEFO, the government, and the Council of Trustees' Associations (CTA) had arrived at that agreement on January 9, 2017.
"Members have voted in favour of the central table agreement, which is welcome news for our members", stated Rémi Sabourin, AEFO President. "AEFO is confident the agreement will benefit its members as well as the French-language education system in Ontario", he added.
AEFO has about 10,000 members and represents French-language elementary and high school teachers in Ontario, from both Catholic and public school boards, and professional and support staff working in various French-language workplaces.
