Sylvain Yelle, Executive Director, Bus and Paratransit Operations, to serve as interim General Manager
MONTREAL, July 23, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Exo, the organization overseeing train, bus and paratransit services serving Greater Montréal, and more specifically the North and South shores, announces the departure of its General Manager, Raymond Bachant.
Mr. Bachant will be stepping down as head of exo to pursue entrepreneurial projects in the private sector. He wished to highlight the outstanding collaboration of exo's employees as the organization underwent a major transformation in the past year.
Effective today, Sylvain Yelle will become exo's interim General Manager. After a long career with the Société de transport de Laval, he joined the transit authority as Executive Director, Bus and Paratransit Operations. The organization's board of directors has approved Mr. Yelle's interim appointment. Mr. Bachant will oversee the transition during the next few weeks.

"His achievements include managing the efficient integration of 14 organizations and the beginnings of the Réseau de transport métropolitain, developing the first strategic organizational plan, launching the Chrono mobile app, the capital expenditures program and implementing policies and regulations to ensure good governance."
Exo will act quickly to engage a recruitment firm to initiate the independent selection process for its next General Manager.
