MONTREAL, Sept. 26, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton today officially launched its new Sustainable Development and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management practice.
On this occasion, the Firm is proud to announce the appointment of Johanne Gélinas as Partner in Charge of the new practice within the Strategy and Performance Consulting Group.
A former Canadian Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development and former Commissioner with the Quebec Bureau d'audiences publiques sur l'environnement, Johanne Gélinas has more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors where she led numerous consultations and reviews on policy and program efficiency pertaining to environmental and sustainable development issues in national and international contexts. She says she is thrilled with her new functions: "Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton is particularly committed to its community, and its societal values converge toward the service we are launching today. Johanne Gélinas is a Partner in the Strategy and Performance Consulting Group and heads the Sustainable Development and GHG Management practice at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton. Ms. Gélinas has more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors where she led numerous consultations and reviews on policy and program efficiency pertaining to environmental and sustainable development issues in national and international contexts. She leverages her extensive audit expertise for the benefit of public- and private-sector clients. As the former Canadian Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development between 2000 and 2007, she led a specialized team whose mandate was to audit the performance of all federal agencies and departments and handle major environmental and sustainable development issues.
