MONTREAL, Dec. 20, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Québec Cabinet has appointed Raymond Larivée as President and CEO of the Palais des congrès. Mr. Larivée will take over the position on February 10, 2014.
Claude Liboiron stated: "A seasoned veteran of the tourism industry, Mr. Larivée knows what we need and how to take charge of the challenges we will be facing."
An MBA graduate of the HEC School of Business and also a graduate of the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec, Mr. Larivée has extensive tourism and hotel industry experience. A member of the Palais Board of Directors since 2009, Mr. Larivée chaired the Human Resources Committee for the last two years.
Mr. Larivée worked 18 years at the multinational chain of Delta Hotels and Resorts, most recently as Regional Vice-President of Operations, and prior to that also held various positions at Hotel Vogue Montréal and the Sheraton Laval.
