TORONTO, Sept. 12, 2018 /CNW/ - RBC Global Asset Management Inc. (RBC GAM Inc.) today announced the launch of two new RBC Target Maturity Corporate Bond ETFs, which will begin trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange today.
RBC Target Maturity Corporate Bond ETFs represent a family of fixed income ETFs maturing in successive years from 2018 to 2025. Each ETF tracks a unique FTSE Maturity Corporate Bond Index™ that maintains a portfolio of Canadian investment grade corporate bonds structured to mature in the same calendar year as the ETF. When the ETF reaches the maturity date, the ETF's final net asset value is returned to the current unitholders.
"The suite of RBC Target Maturity Corporate Bond ETFs offers investors and advisors the flexibility to tailor their bond laddering strategies to the maturity date of their choice," said Mark Neill, Head of RBC ETFs. "These ETFs are intended to be a replacement for holding individual corporate bonds and aim to reduce risk through issuer diversification as well as enhance returns through institutional bond pricing, transparency and greater liquidity."
