TORONTO, April 17, 2014 /CNW/ - "Are you proud to work where you do?" According to the Great Place to Work® Institute's annual survey, overwhelmingly RBC employees said yes. Ninety-one per cent of RBC employees participating in the survey affirmed they are proud to tell others where they work. This is just one way we know our employees value being part of the RBC team and are committed to our mutual success.
For the sixth consecutive year, RBC has been selected as one of Canada's Best Workplaces by Great Place to Work® Institute in its annual study of Canadian businesses. RBC is being recognized for our commitment to investing in a great workplace culture.
This year's winners are being announced today in a special national report in The Globe and Mail.
"We know from our employees one of the truly great things about RBC is the collective sense that working here is about making a difference, knowing our contributions matter and feeling proud of what we do for our clients, communities, and each other," said Zabeen Hirji, chief human resources officer, RBC.
"Great Place to Work® Institute would like to recognize and congratulate RBC for its success in creating a great workplace culture," said Jose Tolovi Neto, managing partner of Great Place to Work® Canada. "RBC was ranked on our 2014 list because employees told us they trust management, have pride in their jobs, and enjoy the people they work with. We are very proud that RBC is one of very few organizations that have been recognized as one of the Best Workplaces in Canada six years in a row."
This list of "Best Workplaces in Canada" is compiled by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from a 58-statement survey completed by a random selection of employees, along with their open-ended comments about their organization; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of the organization's culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures.
This year's list received more than 300 nominations and more than 60,000 employees participated in the 2014 "Best Workplaces in Canada" survey.
