TORONTO, July 3, 2018 /CNW/ - RBCxMusic is pleased to announce a benefit concert in support of Kids Help Phone, featuring Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum singer songwriter, Demi Lovato, and very special guest Jason Mraz. Held in downtown Toronto at RBC Echo Beach on Sunday, July 29, the RBCxMusic benefit concert in support of Kids Help Phone will help make a real difference in the lives of young people in Canada.
Every general admission ticket will be $45, plus service charges, with the face value ($39.82) of every ticket going to support Kids Help Phone. Young people are reaching out to Kids Help Phone more and more through online, Live Chat, and texting. In keeping with their vision to provide service in the way young people want it, Kids Help Phone is responding to this shift and will use the ticket proceeds towards expanding their mobile and online-based Live Chat service.
"RBC believes that music has the power to inspire, excite and connect people. "We know young people and fans alike will be excited to see Demi Lovato headline our benefit concert in support of Kids Help Phone."
RBC is committed to helping young people thrive and the RBCxMusic benefit concert is part of a $1-million contribution to Kids Help Phone over three years. Kids Help Phone is Canada's only national 24/7/365, bilingual, confidential and free professional counselling, service for young people.
"As an organization who hears from youth every day, we know that when youth reach out for any issue, big or small, this takes courage – and it also takes courage for the community to stand behind and support them," says Katherine Hay, President & CEO, Kids Help Phone. "With dedicated, generous supporters like RBC, we are able to always be there for young people in need, and plan for a future where every young person in Canada will access the support they need, in the way they need it most."
Joining Demi Lovato is multiple Grammy Award winner and Platinum selling singer songwriter, Jason Mraz. Since getting his start in coffeehouses in San Diego, Mraz has brought his positive message and soulful, folk-pop sound to rapt audiences around the world through his vibrant recordings, humorous live performances, and philanthropic efforts.
