AJAX, ON, Nov. 21, 2016 /CNW/ - On November 18, 2016, the RCMP Toronto West Detachment, Synthetic Drug Operations and Durham Regional Police Service executed a search warrant at 4 Bunting Court., Ajax Ontario and discovered a sophisticated clandestine drug lab. As a result, three men were arrested for their role in manufacturing Ketamine.
They are:
LIN, Hang (m), 41 years old from Unionville, Ontario
ZHENG, Li Feng (m), 47 years old from Markham, Ontario
SHI, Lin Hui (m), 42 years old from Scarborough, Ontario
"Organized crime groups are the master minds behind the synthetic drug trade, from procuring sophisticated laboratory equipment and chemical precursors, to production, then trafficking. For that reason, we are working aggressively with our local policing partners to identify the sources and prosecute the offenders -- wherever they may be located" - said Inspector Kevin NICHOLSON, RCMP Toronto West Detachment, Serious and Organized Crime.
The search resulted in the seizure of several kilograms of ketamine along with a large volume of chemicals used to produce the drug, which required three days to safely remove from the residence.
A portion of the chemicals seized had been purchased from A and K Petrochem, a company operated by Tom KYRON and Andrew KYRON, who earlier this month the RCMP charged with selling chemicals knowing they would be used to produce illicit synthetic drugs.
