TORONTO, Oct. 3, 2014 /CNW/ - The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) will be hosting a unique Career Expo at the University of Guelph Humber, 207 Humber College Blvd., Toronto, ON, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 4.
This special recruiting event is designed to provide applicants with an opportunity to learn about a career in policing with the RCMP and explore many of the specializations that the RCMP has to offer. Attend and speak one-on-one with Recruiters about a career within the RCMP. Members from the Police Dog Unit, the Explosive Disposal Unit, the Forensic Identification Unit and many more will also be in attendance to answer questions about their important role within the Force.
"A career with the RCMP offers a chance to make a difference in your community while enjoying vast opportunities for growth and development in a variety of different fields," said Constable Valerie Paradis of the RCMP's Recruiting Unit in Ontario.
The RCMP is looking for people who are responsible, respectful, professional, compassionate, and honest and who have integrity. To apply to the RCMP you must be: a Canadian Citizen, 19 years or older (may begin application process at 18); of good character, proficient in English or French; and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. You must also be willing to relocate anywhere in Canada, have a valid Driver's Licence, meet medical/psychological/vision standards and be physically fit.
