YORK REGION, July 23, 2015 /CNW/ - The RCMP GTA Serious and Organized Crime Team (Toronto Airport Detachment) is in the process of apprehending a male in York Region with the assistance from York Regional Police.
In October 2014, an organized crime investigation was initiated in relation to a criminal network that has been involved in the importation of controlled substances through Canadian borders and into Canadian communities. The investigation has led to the arrest of two Canadians by American authorities and a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Andrie SAMUELS 39, of Markham, Ontario.
Mr. SAMUELS has been charged for:
1. Conspire to import Methamphetamine (Controlled and Substance Act)
2. Attempt to import Methamphetamine (Controlled and Substance Act)
The RCMP is issuing this media release to warn the general public in the area of this activity.
