TORONTO, Jan. 17, 2014 /CNW/ - The RCMP is requesting the public's assistance in locating an individual wanted on Canada Wide Warrant.
On December 17, 2013, during an investigation, members of the RCMP's Bowmanville Detachment - Serious and Organized Crime section observed a fire in an upper floor apartment at a building on Wynford Avenue in Toronto. Toronto Fire Services and Toronto Police Service attended the scene. During a subsequent search of the apartment, the RCMP located drug production equipment along with quantities of cocaine and marihuana.
On December 20, 2013, Canada Wide Arrest Warrants were issued for Ryan Alexander BELANGER (27 years old) and Shaquille Anthony WHEATLE (21 years old) in relation to charges of Possession for the Purpose to Trafficking a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy to commit drug related offences.
On January 14, 2014, Shaquille WHEATLE surrendered to the RCMP in Toronto. Ryan BELANGER remains at large. BELANGER has connections in Halifax, Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton.
Ryan Alexander BELANGER is 27 years old, 193 cm (6'4") tall and 100 kg (220 lbs). He has brown hair and brown eyes. For a photo of BELANGER please visit the Ontario RCMP Newsroom and click on the associated news release.
