WINDSOR, ON, June 3, 2014 /CNW/ - Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Serious and Organized Crime investigators seized drugs, a prohibited weapon, cash and a vehicle as a result of a drug investigation last week.
In the early afternoon of May 30, 2014, RCMP investigators arrested a 26 year old Windsor man near the intersection of Rooney Street and Campbell Avenue in Windsor, Ontario. Investigators seized approximately 44 grams of cocaine, 168 grams of cannabis marihuana, 37 grams of suspected methamphetamine, $1890 in Canadian currency, brass knuckles and a 2013 Dodge Avenger automobile. The 26 year old Windsor resident faces 2 counts of possession of controlled substances and 2 counts of possession of controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking - all contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The accused also faces additional charge of possession of a prohibited weapon contrary to the Criminal Code. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, July 28, 2014 at 9:00AM at the Ontario Court of Justice at 200 Chatham Street, Windsor, Ontario.
