Newly created role will lead strategy and growth in Canada, Rdio's second largest market
SAN FRANCISCO, July 14, 2014 /CNW/ - Rdio, one of the largest music streaming services in the world, today announced that Michael Orrbrooke joined Rdio as General Manager of Canada. Reporting to President of International, Scott Bagby, the new role will focus on leading Rdio's growth and strategy in Canada.
In this position, Orrbrooke will work to continue to develop the company's profile as the leading music streaming service in Canada. He will also develop new partnerships for the company within Canada and manage existing partnerships, including a recently announced marketing partnership with Shaw Communications.

Orrbrooke joins Rdio after serving as president and CEO of Bark & Fitz Inc. Prior to his work with Bark & Fitz Inc., he held brand management and strategic sponsorship roles with a variety of telecommunications and technology companies.
