Reaction of Chief Justices of the Superior Court of Québec

MONTREAL, April 20, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Chief Justices of the Québec Superior Court take cognizance of the Canadian Judicial Council's decision regarding Judge Michel Girouard's conduct.

According to the Canadian Judicial Council's complaint process, the Chief Justices who are members of the same court as the judge whose behaviour is under review are excluded from the decision process. Under these circumstances, it would be inappropriate to comment on the Council's decision. Accordingly, they will refrain from commenting on the issue.
