QUÉBEC CITY, Dec. 3, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Although winter is approaching, a good number of campers are already dreaming about the summer, including evenings around the campfire, family hikes and swimming in pristine waters. They can start setting the table for next summer's holiday memories as of 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 8, with the launch of ready-to-camp bookings for summer and fall of 2016.
Huttopia tents are offered at national parks, while Hekipia tents can be found in wildlife reserves and tourist resorts, both representing Québec's natural heritage. "Ready-to-camp" makes an authentic camping experience accessible, without having to lug all the equipment.
Please note that Sépaq no longer offers ready-to-camp trailer tents.
New for 2016
In response to growing demand, more ready-to-camp tents will be available in the upcoming summer season, and just as many activities will be on tap to make for a rich camping stay: hiking, canoeing, fishing and via ferrata, to mention only a few. In addition, some Sépaq establishments will be offering parents travelling with children small tokens of our consideration for their little angels, such as playpens, highchairs, baby carriers, colouring areas and more. Day passes for national parks are free for our young visitors aged 17 and under, as are discovery activities for children accompanied by adults.
The Grosbois camping area in Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville, not far from Montreal, has already enchanted a number of campers since it opened last July. Its offering includes 21 Huttopia tents!
Also new in the summer of 2016, the Lac-Stukely sector, in Parc national du Mont-Orford, will be entirely revamped. The ready-to-camp sites will be redistributed as follows: 6 sites in new locations in Le Mélèze sector, which are not available for booking quite yet, and 15 sites in Le Chêne sector, located closer to the beach. In a short time, regulars will be able to consult brand-new camping-area maps prior to booking.
Booking
It's possible to make an on-line booking simply and quickly at sepaq.com or by dialling 1-800-665-6527. Bookings start at 9:00 a.m. on December 8, and campers will have the best possible chance to enjoy the outing of their choice if they book as early as possible.
