- Justin Trudeau, Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada
The Liberals offer a credible plan which will repair the damages caused by Stephen Harper's Conservative government. The Liberal plan calls for concrete measures that will help combat climate change and invest in green technologies. The Liberal team is looking towards the future by developing a Canadian energy strategy that will ensure energy conservation and safety all while investing millions of dollars in new green technologies.
In order to create more green jobs and stimulate greater investment, the Liberal Party plans to improve tax measures that will help companies to innovate, grow and create jobs. A next Liberal government led by Justin Trudeau, will take part in the UN conference on climate change with other provincial premiers. Moreover, the protection of our wildlife and our rivers will be prioritized by increasing the number of marine and coastal protected areas from 5 percent by 2017 to 10 percent by 2020.
