Real Estate Council of BC suspends licence of Johnson Castaneto Salanga
VANCOUVER, July 11, 2013 /CNW/ - The Real Estate Council of British Columbia previously issued a Public Advisory informing the public that the real estate licence of Johnson Castaneto Salanga, formerly licensed with Sutton Group-West Coast Realty (Cambie Street), Vancouver, and, more recently, with Royal Pacific Realty (Kingsway) Ltd., Vancouver, was suspended on June 12, 2013.
The Real Estate Council suspended this licence in the public interest as a result of Mr. Salanga's failure to properly account for trust monies he was holding on behalf of brokerage clients while licensed with Sutton Group-West Coast Realty (Cambie Street), Vancouver. This suspension is in accordance with section 45 of the Real Estate Services Act and remains in effect until further notice.
The suspension of Mr. Salanga's licence means that he may not offer any real estate services to the public. Any member of the public who is concerned about a current or previous real estate transaction involving Mr. Salanga may contact the Real Estate Council at 604-683-9664.
The Real Estate Council is a regulatory agency established by the provincial government. Its mandate is to protect the public by enforcing the licensing and licensee conduct requirements of the Real Estate Services Act.
