REALTORS®, real estate Boards and Associations from across Canada raise over $200,000 to help Alberta flood victims
OTTAWA, July 25, 2013 /CNW/ - The Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation is pleased to announce that it has raised over $200,000 for the Canadian Red Cross' Alberta Floods Fund, thanks to the generous donations of individual REALTORS®, brokerages, and 40 real estate Boards and Associations from across the country.
"We know from experience that when disaster strikes, REALTORS® are quick to ask how they can help," says Calvin Lindberg, Chair of the Canadian REALTORS Care® Foundation. "As soon as our fundraising appeal went out, donations started to pour in from Victoria to St. John's. We are very proud that we were able to come together to help our friends in Southern Alberta recover and rebuild after last month's devastating flooding."
