Conference on best business practices
MONTREAL, Nov. 8, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Over 2,500 business leaders and strategic employees congregated today at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal to discuss business practices for improving organizational performance. This event gives visitors an opportunity to learn from the experiences and successful projects in the field of continuous improvement and innovation by 40 teams of leaders and employees from different companies. The event is organized by the Mouvement québécois de la qualité in collaboration with the Ministère des Finances et de l'Économie.
"Over the years, the Salon sur les meilleures pratiques d'affaires has helped hundreds of Quebec companies to improve their performance and hone the competitiveness of their organization by applying the methods and approaches presented," said Johanne Maletto, Executive Director of the Mouvement québécois de la qualité.
The Salon MPA, which is unique in Quebec, is entirely devoted to sharing experience and transferring knowledge. This major event has long established its credentials and the number of visitors to the Salon MPA has consistently risen due to the quality of the presentations and the dynamism and commitment of entrepreneurs exhibiting projects. "The Salon, which is unique in the field, constantly adapts to reflect the changing needs of entrepreneurs. We give top priority to practical examples of creativity, of Lean implementation and the whole dimension of teamwork and employee commitment," stated Maletto.
Top quality program
This year, once again, the Salon MPA offered manufacturing and service companies a top quality program of meetings and presentations by major economic actors. In the Leaders' Forum, proven leaders presented their organizational vision and methods for getting employees to embrace their values. These included Melanie La Couture, Chief Operating Officer, OSM; Germain Lamonde, Chairman and CEO, EXFO inc.; Natalie Larivière, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, V Interactions Inc.; Blaise Renaud, President and CEO, Renaud-Bray; and Robert Verreault, General Manager, Joliette Plant, Bridgestone Canada. With modesty and a touch of humour, our leaders engaged in frank discussion with Stéphan Bureau about the challenges of full employee commitment to organizational objectives and strategies.
