MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct. 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today celebrates landmark sales results as the Subaru XV Crosstrek achieves its best month ever, contributing to Subaru Canada's best September ever. Subaru retailed 3,310 units this past month, up 23.2 percent over the same period last year. Subaru is also up 21.1 percent year to date as it works towards another historic all-time annual sales record, enjoying its tenure as Canada's fastest growing Japanese automaker.
In the compact SUV segment, the Subaru Forester puts the "Sport" back in SUV with results up 81.8 percent this September. Subaru's rear-wheel-drive sports coupe, the BRZ, also blazed a hot trail with a scorching sales increase of 66.7 percent. Canada's most fuel-efficient All-Wheel Drive compact crossover, the Subaru XV Crosstrek, achieved its biggest milestone to date, accomplishing its highest sales on record with results up 36.8 percent over last September.
