HAMILTON, ON, Oct. 2 /CNW/ - Your old tires, dead batteries, used motor oil and oil filters don't belong in the blue bin. CAA South Central Ontario will take them off your hands and make sure they are properly recycled.
"Automotive, marine and household batteries contain toxic chemicals and should be disposed of safely to avoid ending up in a landfill," said Sarah Huizing, Community Relations Specialist, CAA SCO.
For one day only, you can drop off your dead batteries, old oil filters, used motor oil and tires (limit four without rims) at two locations in Hamilton.
In return, for making an eco-friendly choice, you will receive a FREE pack of yard waste bags and a chance to WIN a $500 CAA Travel voucher.
When: Saturday Oct. 2, 2010 8:00 am - 1:00 pm Where: Two drop off locations: Locke Street Tire - 87 Locke Street South (Locke & Main) Pills Tire - 1275 Main Street East (Near Ottawa Street North)
