OTTAWA, Nov. 7, 2017 /CNW/ - The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) is conducting an environmental assessment of the proposed Red Mountain Underground Gold Project, located east of Stewart, British Columbia.
The project is undergoing a cooperative environmental assessment with B.C.'s Environmental Assessment Office (EAO).
A public comment period will take place from November 14 to December 14, 2017. The Agency and the EAO invite the public to comment on the potential environmental effects of the project and the proposed measures to prevent or mitigate those effects as described in a summary of the proponent's Environmental Impact Statement.
This is the third of four opportunities for the public to comment on this project. All comments received will be considered public.
An open house will be held during the comment period on December 4, 2017 in Stewart, B.C.
