REDEPLOYMENT WITHIN INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT GROUP
MONTREAL, Nov. 11 /CNW Telbec/ - Roland Lescure, Chief Investment Officer at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, today announced a redeployment within Investment Management. Mr. Oliver Fratzscher will now serve as Executive Vice-President and Strategic Advisor to the Chief Investment Officer and the President and Chief Executive Officer, and will continue to report to Mr. Lescure.
Mr. Fratzscher has agreed to take on this new endeavour to advise Caisse senior management on investments in emerging markets in the context of a rapid global economic rebalancing, on financial market challenges and on currency issues.
Mr. Fratzscher will be based out of New York to facilitate the identification of partnership opportunities. Under this mandate, he will be tasked with providing strategic counsel to and conducting research for the Chief Investment Officer and the President and Chief Executive Officer. In particular, he will evaluate investment opportunities in certain emerging countries and identify potential partners. In this capacity, the Caisse will benefit from Mr. Fratzscher's expertise in emerging markets and experience with renowned financial institutions.
