Redline Extends its Global Leadership in Public Security Solutions with
Delivery of Wireless Broadband Network to the Turkish National Police
-- Company's Fixed WiMAX system to power video surveillance networks throughout Isparta, Turkey to strengthen public safety --
TORONTO, May 4 /CNW/ - Traffic control and public safety in Isparta, Turkey will be significantly enhanced with the introduction of a wireless state-of-the-art video surveillance system powered by Redline Communications Group Inc. ("Redline") (TSX: RDL). The high-speed broadband wireless network will provide seamless, round-the-clock city-wide wireless connectivity between the cameras and the Turkish National Police controlling traffic and watching out for the security of the public. High resolution cameras with pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) capabilities controlled by motion detectors provide additional visibility to police on the streets, and allows for the dispatch of additional officers when and where needed. This system is one of many deployments of Redline's wireless infrastructure enabling High Definition video surveillance for public security agencies around the world - further establishing the company as a leading provider of WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products worldwide.
"This video surveillance system represents the absolute state-of-the-art in video technology," according to Han Mutlu, President of Global Forte who completed the installation of the system. "With state-of-the-art comes complexity, and Redline had the only broadband radio system capable of supporting these new and demanding server applications for Advanced Video Functions. Redline made it possible for us to implement the best video technology available, and their ability to create multicast groups within our wireless network allows the National Police to share their video security resources with security divisions."
"We're very pleased to be working with the Turkish National Police as they move forward to strengthen and enhance their existing public safety infrastructure," says Eric Melka, acting CEO, Redline Communications, Inc. "The ever-increasing importance of public safety projects has led to the development of video surveillance systems with very complex requirements- and we support the complete video solution unlike any other broadband radio system available today."
