Registration period re-opens - Record number of registrations expected for the 25th Rock 'n' Roll Oasis Montreal Marathon

MONTREAL, Nov. 11, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Online registration for the Rock 'n'Roll Oasis Montreal Marathon races will re-open starting Wednesday, November 12 at midnight, Eastern Time. Runners who plan to participate in the 2015 event will also enjoy a special pre-sale price during the initial 24-hour registration period. Those who register will join the 4,000 participants who signed up during the Marathon EXPO in September. "For the 25^th edition, organizers are expecting a turnout of more than 35,000 runners, breaking the record set in 2014," states Marathon spokesperson Dominique Arsenault, adding that "the event's races typically begin to sell out as early as May, and the same will likely happen this year".

Those who are interested are invited to enter one of the five races that make up Quebec's biggest running event, including the largest half marathon in Canada. The races will unfold in Montreal on Sunday, September 20, 2015, and each course will take participants on a journey through several of the city's boroughs, each one more interesting than the last. "Participants can expect many surprises during the 25^th anniversary edition, especially since, for the last few years, the rock 'n' roll aspect of the event has added a really unique dimension that has been a huge hit with the public, as we saw in 2014," boasts Arsenault, referring to the resounding success of this year's event on September 28.

From the very beginning, fitness and sports enthusiasts have embraced the Marathon as a great way to get in shape with family and friends in an environment that is fun and safe. "For this year's event, we had beautiful, sunny weather and some major improvements were made, much to the content of the runners, who got to enjoy an exceptional race experience," adds Arsenault.

Online registration will re-open on Wednesday, November 12, starting at midnight, Eastern Time. The special 25th Anniversary pre-sale price is only applicable during a 24-hour window, that is, until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12.

About the Rock 'n' Roll Oasis Montreal Marathon

This year will mark the 25th edition of the Rock 'n' Roll Oasis Montreal Marathon.
