Reminder - News Conference - Photo/filming Opportunity - War Amps Marks 95 Years of Artificial Limbs Then & Now at Moncton Child Amputee Seminar
MONCTON, NB, July 26, 2013 /CNW/ - Carly Smith, 10, of Ammon, was born a left arm amputee. She will show her myoelectric arm and curling device. The news conference will also feature other Champs from across the Atlantic demonstrating the limbs and recreational devices they use to overcome their amputations and achieve their goals. It will also touch on the incredible advances in artificial limbs over 95 years.

Running July 26 to 28, the seminar will be a life-changing experience for Champs and their parents, covering everything from raising an amputee child, to dealing with teasing and staring, to seeing the latest developments in artificial limbs. Media are welcome to attend the sessions, during the weekend. Interviews with the Champs can be arranged at any time.
