TORONTO, Feb. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - Crown Hill Capital Corporation ( the "Trustee" ), manager and trustee of Energy Income Fund ( the "Fund") announced today that the Fund has been advised that a number of unitholders have withdrawn their support for a requisition to hold a unitholder meeting, delivered on January 20, 2012. Those unitholders hold more than 50% of the units supporting the requisition. As a result, the requisition no longer has the minimum unitholder support required under the Fund's Declaration of Trust and the meeting will not proceed.
The Trustee has therefore withdrawn its previously announced application to the Ontario Securities Commission under section 104 of the Securities Act.
