Residence Inn by Marriott Montreal Downtown to Begin Multi-Million Dollar Renovation

MONTREAL, Oct. 18, 2013 /CNW/ - Gearing up to begin an extensive multi-million dollar renovation, the Residence Inn by Marriott® Montreal Downtown has temporarily closed its doors, effective October 1^st.  The renovation work will be conducted around-the-clock to revitalize the hotel's guest rooms and public spaces.  Located in downtown Montreal's business district, the Residence Inn Montreal Downtown is scheduled for a soft reopening in January 2014.

Renovations will include a complete redesign and replacement of the building's façade. The hotel's new modern exterior design will enrich the aesthetic appeal of the entire block. When the hotel reopens, guests will experience a fully redesigned public space including a bright and inviting new lobby area, Hearth Room® that serves complimentary breakfast daily, and a fully-equipped fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment.  In addition to the revitalized public space, the renovations will include the addition of two floors to accommodate 20 new guest rooms, for a total of 210 rooms.

The Residence Inn Montreal Downtown's guest rooms are currently 50% larger than typical Montreal hotel rooms and will remain just as spacious after the renovations.
