RESILIENT PEOPLE: A new website that profiles ordinary people and their stories of resilience
TORONTO, May 8, 2019 /CNW/ - After her husband was diagnosed with brain cancer, Toronto resident Janet Fanaki created the website RESILIENT PEOPLE. By profiling the resilience of extraordinary ordinary people, Janet aims to inspire and give hope to others.
"RESILIENT PEOPLE showcases positive stories from relatable people who have overcome difficult circumstances and are helping others," says Janet. "The website also provides a forum for experts to share techniques for building resilience."
Some examples of the stories on RESILIENT PEOPLE include: a Holocaust survivor who is an author and public speaker educating groups on tolerance; a woman who shares her advice on living life while she is facing her last days; and a man whose wife passed away from breast cancer and he established a foundation to bring comfort to other cancer patients.
In addition to profile stories, experts contribute on a range of topics including parenting, education, fitness and nutrition.
