Respect Your Universe Updates New Retail Store Openings

VANCOUVER, Aug. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - RYU Apparel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: RYU.V; Frankfurt Stock Exchange: RYA ) creator of urban athletic apparel, is pleased to provide an update on two new retail locations scheduled for early Fall 2017 openings.

The two new retail locations previously announced are: 361 Queen Street West in Toronto, Ontario and the Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, British Columbia. Each store is on schedule for September 2017 soft openings and grand opening celebrations in early October 2017.

"We are very excited to open our first retail location in Toronto which is also our first bricks and mortar location outside of Vancouver. This is a significant next step in the growth of RYU" said Marcello Leone, CEO of RYU. "We are also very proud to open our fourth greater Vancouver area retail location and further grow the reach and accessibility of RYU in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia."

Set against a backdrop of historic buildings, Queen Street West is one of the trendiest shopping districts in Toronto. RYU's first Toronto retail location is located amongst other industry leaders in the area and measures 2,220 square feet of retail space. 

As British Columbia's largest shopping centre, Metropolis at Metrotown is home to over 400 stores and services and is known as one of the province's premiere shopping destinations.  This retail location measures 2,002 square feet of retail space and is RYU's first enclosed shopping center location.
