Restless innovation the theme for day two at HealthAchieve 2014
From the Medicine of Music, to Microbes to Body 3.0, Three TED fellows to present at HealthAchieve
TORONTO, Nov. 4, 2014 /CNW/ - Today at HealthAchieve will focus on how innovation will change the future of health care where three, world-renowned TED Senior fellows will share their view on where we're going. The TED fellows session will happen at 10:00am in Room 105 and will include:
- Nina Tandon, CEO and Co-Founder of EpiBone exploring the new frontier of biotech: homes, textiles, and videogames.
- Vijay (Robert) Gupta, World renowned violinist and founder of Street Symphony, who will explore music's ability to change our brains, heal ailments, and ultimately, transform lives.
- Jessica Green, Director of the Biology and Built Environment Centre will show a geometric-driven approach to urban design that will change the way we live for the better, and for good.
On the trade show floor, renowned performer, William Close will perform his world-famous Earth Harp, an instrument with strings that can extend 1,000 feet in length. The harp uses architecture and landscape as part of the instrument, and in this case will leverage the vast space at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to create a memorable performance.
And future health care leaders will have their chance to experience high-impact, structured speed mentorship session with various health care leaders. The session will be lead by Alexandra Harris and Sharon Vanin, founders of Emerging Health Leaders Toronto [3:30, Room 206]. In addition, the trade show floor will feature a 'career lane' showcasing health care opportunities to delegates who are considering new roles.
