Returning office advance poll opens February 20
TORONTO, Feb. 18 /CNW/ - Eligible electors in the March 4 by-election in the Electoral District of Ottawa West-Nepean may vote at an advance poll starting February 20 in the Returning Office.
Ottawa West-Nepean Returning Office Advance Poll 1558 Merivale Road, Unit G, Ottawa, Ontario February 20 to February 25 (including Sunday) 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Eligible electors who did not receive a Notice of Registration card and whose names are not on the Voters List can have their name added at the advance poll and cast their ballot while there. To have their name added to the List, electors must show documents that provide proof of identity and proof of residence.
To receive their ballots, electors will be asked to state their name and place of residence and provide proof of identity to the poll officials. Electors who are on the Voters List, but do not have proof of identity, can make a declaration.
To be eligible to vote, on Election Day, March 4, a person must be:
- 18 years of age or older, and - a Canadian citizen, and - a resident of the Electoral District of Ottawa West-Nepean
Electors who ceased to live in Ontario within the two years before polling day may be entitled to vote under certain conditions and should contact Elections Ontario for more information.
