Revera funds 2400 employee volunteer hours to Habitat for Humanity Canada
MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 11, 2019 /CNW/ - During National Volunteer Week, Revera celebrates the valuable contributions that volunteers make in lifting the lives of residents in long term care homes and retirement residences across Canada.
Revera is also proud to support their employees who give their time to organizations and causes in local communities. These efforts are consistent with Volunteer Canada's 2019 theme for National Volunteer Week — The Volunteer Factor: Lifting Communities—which reflects the important role volunteers play in building and supporting their communities.
"Revera thanks the thousands of volunteers who come to our homes and residences across Canada each year. By choosing to volunteer with us you are making a real difference in the lives of our residents," said Thomas Wellner, Revera's President and Chief Executive Officer. "At Revera, volunteers are important members of our extended family, offering friendship, support and a meaningful connection to the larger community. Whether supporting recreation activities, helping at special events or offering companionship, these meaningful acts of kindness lift the lives of residents and staff alike."
"I also want to recognize our employees, many of whom are active volunteers, giving their time to local organizations in their communities and to Revera's charity of choice, Habitat for Humanity," added Wellner.
