Revised Time - Media Advisory - Canadian Union of Postal Workers to raise Algonquin Anishinabeg flag on National Aboriginal Day Français
OTTAWA, June 20, 2017 /CNW/ - On National Aboriginal Day, June 21st, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) will raise the Algonquin Anishinabeg flag at its national office to recall that Ottawa is on unceeded Algonquin territory.
A flag-raising ceremony will take place in front of the building. The public is invited to attend.
The ceremony will include an address by Verna Polson, Grand Chief of the Algonquin Anishinabeg Nation.
