Rick Kester, P. Eng., CAO, City of Belleville is elected 1st Vice-President, OGRA Board of Directors
OAKVILLE, ON, March 2, 2018 /CNW/ - During the inaugural Board of Directors meeting held Wednesday, February 28 2018, Rick Kester, P. Eng., Chief Administrative Officer, City of Belleville, was elected to the position of 1st Vice-President on the Ontario Good Roads Association Board of Directors.
Rick has served as a Director on the Board since 2014 when he was elected to represent the Southeast Zone. Through his pro-active participation as Chair to both the Policy and Members Services Committees, Rick has been integral member of the Board.
Rick was President of the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) in 2010/2011 and has served on the MEA Board of Directors from 2003 to 2012. Rick is a member of the Ontario Clean Water (OCWA) Client Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Ontario Municipal Administrators Association (OMAA), the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA), the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA), the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC), the American Waterworks Association (AWWA), the Ontario Waterworks Association (OWWA), the American Public Works Association (APWA), the Ontario Public Works Association (OPWA) and the Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO). Rick has been a Licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario since 1987.
The Board of Directors sets policy and provides direction to OGRA through a unique combination of elected officials and municipal staff.
The mandate of the Ontario Good Roads Association is to represent the infrastructure interests of municipalities through advocacy, consultation, training and the delivery of identified services.
