Rise Expands Strategy to Power Group Benefits Advisors
Moving Rise's Benefits Practice to Hub Marks a Major Milestone Towards Achieving Rise's Technology Expansion Goals
VANCOUVER, Dec. 18, 2018 /CNW/ -- Rise People, a leading digital HR and payroll software platform, has launched an expansion strategy to become the technology backbone for the benefits industry, linking every benefits carrier and advisor with Canadian companies and their employees — all within a single platform.
Today's launch coincides with the announcement of a new strategic partnership with Hub International Limited ("Hub"), one of the largest insurance brokers in the world, marking a major milestone towards achieving Rise's expansion goals. Hub has acquired Rise's employee benefits practice to provide health and retirement savings advice while Rise focuses on expanding its platform. Moving forward, Rise will cooperate with advisors, rather than compete against them.
"This shift in our strategy is wholly driven by the market," said Rise People's founder and Chief Executive Officer, Faiz Abdulla. "When it comes to the employee experience, companies are demanding flexibility in their HR technology and advisors need to step up with services and tools that streamline benefits administration for their clients. I'm excited to see us take such a big step forward, where key industry players are working together to achieve a common goal of putting people at the heart of their people-management strategies. Clients are asking for integration and the whole market is stepping up."
Rise is focused on developing a world-class digital experience that fuels employee engagement and brings greater efficiencies and accuracy in managing people across payroll, HR and the benefits carriers' systems. Since the October announcement of Sun Life Financial's investment and collaboration with Rise, the company has accelerated adoption of its cloud-based HR solution. The fully integrated platform provides a simple workflow for the collection, review and approval of benefits data and premiums while automatically syncing with HR and payroll systems.
Hub's North American President, Employee Benefits, Mike Barone, says, "In partnership with Rise, we bring best-in-class technology and best-in-class local group benefits expertise to our clients. Our partnership makes the employee benefits experience powerfully simple."
Faiz Abdulla adds, "Our vision is for Rise to become the technology backbone for the benefits industry, empowering businesses with more convenient services focused on improving the health and well-being of their employees while saving them time and money in HR and benefits administration. Today's announcement marks our first big step towards realizing this vision as we continue to build strategic channel partnerships with advisors across the country."
Hub will work with Rise to make Rise's integrated human resources, time tracking, payroll and benefits administration solution available to Hub's Canadian employee benefits clients commencing in January 2019.
