Ritchie Bros. to conduct first equipment auction of the year in Las Vegas, NV
On the last day of World of Concrete, the world's largest industrial auctioneer will sell more than 1,100 heavy equipment items and trucks
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 24, 2012 /CNW/ - Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers (NYSE andTSX: RBA), the world's largest industrial auctioneer, will conduct its first public unreserved equipment auction of 2012 at its Las Vegas, NV auction site on Friday, January 27. It will also be the first auction held in the newly constructed Ritchie Bros. Las Vegas auction facility. The auction features more than 1,100 heavy equipment items and trucks from more than 150 consignors—all items will be sold to the highest bidder, regardless of price, with no minimum bids or reserve prices. Bidders can bid in person at the auction site, online in real time at www.rbauction.com, or by proxy.
"This Las Vegas auction will be Ritchie Bros.' first equipment auction of the year—and we are starting things off with a great selection of equipment for all types of buyers," said Joe Byers, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. "With more than 1,100 items signed up already, there are many equipment highlights in the auction, including a particularly nice line-up of specialized concrete paving equipment, including five Gomaco GT6300 concrete pavers and a 40-foot-wide Gomaco GP5000 crawler concrete paver. We expect that many attendees from World of Concrete will be taking part here on auction day too."

- Four Mack MR688S concrete pump trucks
- Three Caterpillar D10N crawler tractors
- Three Caterpillar 966G wheel loaders
- Two Caterpillar 14H motor graders
- A 2007 John Deere 872D motor grader
Other equipment highlights of the January 27th Las Vegas auction include more than 45 wheel loaders, 30 motor scrapers, 25 loader backhoes, 20 motor graders, 20 hydraulic excavators, 6 concrete pavers, 10 crawler tractors, 40 truck tractors, 35 pickup trucks and much more.
Ritchie Bros. recently completed the construction of new buildings at its Las Vegas auction site. The newly-constructed auction facility includes a 33,000-square-foot auction building with a 500-seat main auction theater and a 300-seat Virtual Ramp theater. The official grand opening for the new facility will be held at the next Las Vegas auction in May.

CIM fundraising auction - January 25, 2012 at 1 p.m.
Two days prior to the January 27th auction, Ritchie Bros. will conduct another auction in Las Vegas: a charity auction at the World of Concrete—an annual concrete and masonry event held in Las Vegas. The auction, which begins at 1 p.m. on January 25th and will be conducted in Room N262 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, includes a wide range of donated items, including equipment, cement and sports packages from companies like Caterpillar Inc., Lafarge, Argos Cement and more. Like every Ritchie Bros. public auction, the auction will be unreserved—meaning every item will be sold to the highest bidder, regardless of price, with no minimum bids or reserve prices. All proceeds from the auction go to support the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) post-secondary education program, developed by its National Steering Committee (NSC).
