Ritz-Carlton Montreal Awarded AAA Five Diamond Status
Montreal Luxury Hotel Only Five Diamond Rated Property in Quebec, One of Four in Canada
MONTREAL, Oct. 12, 2012 /CNW/ - The Ritz-Carlton Montreal, just four months after re-opening, has been awarded the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award®, recognizing its status as one of North America's most luxurious hotels. The property joins just three other Five Diamond rated hotels in Canada, and is the only one in Quebec.
"The Ritz-Carlton Montreal is honoured to receive the Five Diamond Rating from AAA, a recognition we accept with great pride," says Andrew Torriani, CEO and General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Montreal. "This designation reflects the unparalleled level of service, attention to detail and overall emphasis on luxury that the hotel is renowned for."
The AAA Diamond Rating process is North America's premier hotel rating program. Approximately 32,000 hotels throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean are AAA approved and Diamond rated. A team of full-time evaluators visit properties and assign the rating based upon 27 essential requirements including service, amenities, décor, cleanliness, comfort, security and safety.
The Five Diamond Rating acknowledges properties that reflect the characteristics of the ultimate in luxury and sophistication. Fundamental hallmarks at this level are the ability to meticulously serve and exceed all guest expectations while maintaining an impeccable standard of excellence, as well as offering many personalized services and amenities to provide an unmatched level of comfort.
Each year, less than three in one thousand properties evaluated by AAA receive the prestigious Five Diamond designation. In 2012, this accounted for only 126 lodgings and 53 restaurants receiving the Five Diamond Rating.
