Road Closure Notice: 2016 RBC Race for the Kids

TORONTO, Sept. 14, 2016 /CNW/ - The RBC Race for the Kids will be held on Saturday, September 17^th, 2016 at Mel Lastman Square and will consist of a 5km walk/run, 7km run, and 15km run with more than 8,400 participants.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and RBC have partnered to host the event, which raises funds for the Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook. This unique, donor-funded program helps families who have a young person (aged 13 – 26) suffering from a mental health issue and/or addiction find the help they need.

The race will result in rolling lane closures in the following locations:

	Rolling Lane Closures	Between
1.	Beecroft Rd. between North York Blvd. and Park Home Ave. - The southbound curb lane between Park Home Ave. and North York Blvd. will be open - A northbound lane between North York Blvd. and Park Home Ave. will be open	4:30 AM – 10 AM
2	. North York Blvd. between Beecroft Rd. and Yonge St.	4:30 AM – 10 AM
3.	Finch Ave. between Dufferin St. and Yonge St.- All westbound lanes between Yonge St. and Talbot St. will be open - The westbound curb lane between Talbot St. and Bathurst St. will be open - The westbound 2^nd lane between Bathurst St. and Dufferin St. will be open as well as all eastbound lanes - All eastbound lanes between Bathurst St. and Talbot Rd. will be open - The eastbound 2^nd lane between Talbot Rd. and Yonge St. will be open	7:30 AM – 10:30 AM
4.	Yonge St. between Finch Ave. and Sheppard Ave. - All northbound and southbound lanes will be closed - Two southbound lanes between Park Home Ave. and North York Blvd. will remain closed until 1:00 PM. The 3^rd lane will remain open for southbound traffic	7:15 AM – 11:15 AM
5.	Yonge St. between Finch Ave. and Pleasant Ave./Newton Dr. - The northbound and southbound curb lanes between Finch Ave. and Pleasant Ave./Newton Dr. will be open - The northbound and southbound middle lanes between Drewry Ave./ Cummer Ave. and Pleasant Ave./Newton Dr. will be open - The northbound curb lane between North York Blvd. and Finch Ave. will be open	7:45 AM – 10:45 AM

Please note: timing is approximate.
