Road, Marine and Air Restrictions Lifted in Huntsville
HUNTSVILLE, ON, June 26 /CNW/ - The Integrated Security Unit (ISU) has lifted road and marine restrictions within the Huntsville area. Motorists may now use Highway 60 and the roads in and around the Deerhurst Resort without a requirement to show a pass.
However, traffic control measures are still in place because of the large number of barriers still present. Motorists are urged to exercise caution. Barrier removal will begin within the coming days.
Boaters can now move freely on Peninsula Lake. In addition, the airspace restrictions issued by Transport Canada for the Muskoka G8 have now expired.
The ISU would like to thank the residents and the visitors for their cooperation and patience during the G8 Summit.
Residents are encouraged to visit the ISU web site for the latest information on roads at www.g8-g20isu.ca.
