MONTRÉAL, Sept. 19, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The Mayor of Montréal, the Honorable Denis Coderre, is leaving for New York Tuesday, September 20th, to attend the High Level Panel for Road Safety and the high-level meeting of the International Leading Group of the Social and Solidarity Economy, organized under the presidency of François Hollande, President of France.
"Cities play an increasingly important role in global issues, and as such, Montréal has become a reference in several fields, including the social economy, the fight against climate change, "Living Together", the fight against radicalisation and the development of metropolitan areas. The participation by the City of Montréal at the High Level Panel for Road Safety as well as at the meeting of the International Pilot Group of the Social and Solidarity Economy demonstrates that Montréal is an engaged metropolis whose diverse expertise is widely recognized," said Denis Coderre.
