LAVAL, QC, May 13, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - It is with great sadness that Robert Dépatie announces his resignation as President and CEO of St-Hubert Group.
"My greatest wish when I left Quebecor was to retire and spend quality time with my family. During this short "retirement" period, I let Jean-Pierre Léger persuade me in accepting the challenge as President and CEO of St-Hubert. I have always felt quite confident with Jean‑Pierre and sincerely thank him for this complicity that I felt from our first meetings. Despite this great opportunity entrusted to me by Jean-Pierre, retirement was a constant thought. Therefore, after carefully considering it, I have decided to resign as of June 12."
As for Jean-Pierre Léger, he had this to say: "I am truly saddened by Robert's decision but I understand it and I accept it. After only a few months with the St-Hubert team, a new energy was felt which brought on great promise and growth. Thus, in order to keep this man of great stature at the heart of the company's important decisions, I have offered him to accept the presidency of the St-Hubert Group's Board of Directors and serve on the Corporate Governance and Human Resources Committee, as well as on the Audit Committee. I am therefore both very pleased that Robert has done us the honour of accepting these mandates that he will certainly carry out quite successfully. In addition, he will actively take part in the recruiting process to find a high-caliber succession for this major position. I may be losing a great leader but I have earned a most competent Chairman, worthy of my trust."
